According to the researchers’ calculations, in a world with a temperature rise of 1.5°C, Switzerland would experience a rise of 2.9°C. The rise in temperature will even reach 4.9°C if the planet warms up by 3°C. These figures represent an increase of 10-15% compared with previous climate scenarios for 2018. According to the report, this warming will mean more heatwaves, more droughts, heavier rainfall and less snow.
